WE BUILD COMMUNITIES

America’s SBDCs help make the dream of small business ownership a reality for more Americans — creating jobs and opportunities that build communities throughout the nation.

RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Upper Cumberland TSBDC helps Make life-long dreams come true

"Starting a rural small business isn't easy but can be done," said Misty Clark, who opened a retail store she named The Clothes Line. She has always had a dream of owning a clothing store in her home town. To make her dream a reality she reached out to her local TSBDC. She knew the TSBDC would get her started in the right direction.

ACCELERATORS + INCUBATORS

The Business Incubator and the TSBDC have enjoyed a long, fruitful relationship. Throughout the last 20 years there have been good times and bad times, when the tenants have really leaned on the TSBDC for advice and support.

EXPORT

Tennessee SBDC International Trade Center

Our success is based upon our commitment to professional development, the Governor's designation of the State of Tennessee's lead for conducting trade and export activities, and our partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im).

MILLENNIALS + GEN-Z

For a young entrepreneur hoping to build a successful small business, the TSBDC has been a wonderful asset and I'm glad I took advantage of their services. Their support and genuine investment in my success has been extremely valuable.
