Procontours owner George Sobelman pivots business, sells $80,000 in face masks to Idaho businesses

Boise Business Accelerator member Procontours pivoted to keep its doors open and employees working while offering an in-demand product: face masks. When COVID-19 interfered with his unmanned air surveillance business, owner George Sobelman kept his contractors working by shifting to branded face masks. Sobelman sold approximately $80,000 worth of face masks to institutions and businesses across Idaho. He also tapped into PTAC to respond to $26 million worth of government face mask RFQs.

EXPORT

Idaho family business connects with Idaho SBDC to strategize exporting hay to the Middle East

The Idaho family-run business, Highland Hay, consulted with the Eastern Idaho SBDC on numerous occasions to troubleshoot exporting challenges. After multiple business consultations and additional SBDC resources, their goals of distributing alfalfa-based hay nationally and to the Middle East were eventually realized. Through the pandemic, the SBDC continued to provide guidance and support through mastermind mentoring meetings and trainings focused on business survival in a challenging economy.

MILLENNIALS + GEN-Z

The Idaho SBDC is wonderful. They helped me refine my idea, gave me a place to start and pointed me in the right direction. I don't think I could be anywhere near where I am right now without their help.
