I am incredibly thankful for the mentorship and continued guidance I have received through the years. I would like to especially thank my mentors at the Mohawk Valley SBDC, Roxanne Mutchler and Paul Arvantides.

Quadrant Biosciences, Founder, Richard Uhlig

Quadrant Biosciences was founded by Richard Uhlig after his son got a concussion playing hockey. As his company grew, he partnered with SUNY Upstate Medical University to develop epigenetic tests for concussion, autism & Parkinson's disease. The Binghamton SBDC helped him with marketing diagnostic tests, filing grant applications and lender introductions. The company has received $5 million in grant awards & $33 million in private funding. Recently FDA approved his saliva test for Covid.

Richard Rattan, Founder & Owner, Safe Health Educators

After leaving the Air Force, Rattan served as an ER nurse, volunteer fireman on Long Island, fire captain for the United Nations, and then, while working as a paramedic for Northwell, he launched Safe Health Educators. Its services are for healthcare professionals who need to maintain their required certifications. As an American Heart Association-approved center, his offerings include Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and other courses.

Our agency works with a variety of nonprofits and small businesses and SBDC is an amazing resource for Staten Island businesses. With new employee laws, certifications and available bids, it's important to have SBDC with you every step of the way.
