RURAL DEVELOPMENT

My advice [is] to look up the Florida SBDC at USF and use them as much as you can. They've been just so much help in not only helping us acquire the business, but also in helping us grow. They're that shoulder for us to lean on when we need help.

COVID-19 RESPONSE

The impact of COVID-19 on Florida's small businesses

We recently partnered with the Florida Chamber Foundation and UWF Haas Center to conduct a survey on the needs and long-term challenges of small businesses due to COVID-19. Watch this video to hear their stories and learn more about our study.

WOMEN- OWNED

When Life Gives You a Pandemic

Once COVID-19 impacted the country and schools began to close, Nicole Anyadike, owner of Kidology Enterprises, turned to the Florida SBDC at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) for help shifting her educational enrichment program business virtually. Anyadike received consulting services, help accessing capital, and guidance to kick-start Kidology Enterprises Virtual Academy. As a result of Kidology's virtual experience and interactive STEAM kit, Anyadike has seen sales increase by 90 percent.
